Korth O’Neil is focused on natural gas storage technology. In particular we seek to use novel materials to store the light fuel in an adsorbed state. Adsorbed natural gas (ANG) can exist at high density and is able to provide significant safety and efficiency advantages over compressed and liquefied natural gas (CNG, LNG). Korth O’Neil Engineering was founded in 2007. We have a conviction that nanoporous materials will revolutionize industrial chemical techniques and processing methods. The necessary first step is to bring the novel chemistry from the lab into simple and common commercial products and processes.

Houston Frost, Ph.D. – President and CEO
Dr. Frost has more the five years of experience modeling gas adsorption in nanoporous materials. In that time he has developed significant expertise in how to design, optimize, and select adsorbent materials with applications in gas storage. His work has been published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry (B,C), the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Langmuir, and Fluid Phase Equilbria. Currently, Houston is also a Vice President at Pisces Capital Group, where he assists with the sourcing, analysis, and execution of investment opportunities. Previously, Houston worked at J.P. Morgan with the Fixed-Income Strategy team in New York. Dr. Frost earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University.
Thomas O. Turner – Chairman
Mr. Turner has been active in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and private investments for almost a decade. He is currently CEO of the private investment firm Pisces Capital Group, which he founded in 2008, and Chairman of Korth O’Neil, a Pisces portfolio company. Prior to forming Pisces Capital Group, Mr. Turner was an Associate Director of Corporate Planning & Development at TETCO, Inc. from 2007 to 2008. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Turner was an Associate at the Chicago-based private equity firm Willis Stein & Partners. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Turner was an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Wachovia Securities. Mr. Turner holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Washington & Lee University.
Sofia Garcia, Ph.D. – Vice President of Research and Development
Dr. Garcia has almost a decade of laboratory experience, primarily focused on protein stabilization techniques and developing ligand-presenting surfaces for cell culture. Her work has been published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Langmuir, and Current Opinions in Biotechnology. Currently, she is Vice President of Research and Development at Korth O’Neil, and is responsible for developing and maintaining our research facility, as well as directing and running experiments. Dr. Garcia received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University.
